Visited the IKON gallery yesterday and was pleasantly suprised with Clare Rojas exhibition. Her mantra of manifesting her own perfect world where women are all powerful and men exploited had me believe that I was going to see something similar to what I see in my Gender lectures when we are looking at Germaine Greer. However I was pleasantly suprised to see Rojas patchwork quilted prints with smiling women and pretty flowers featured in almost every piece, they had an incredibly comfortable feel about them (maybe thats because I'm a little partial to a bit of feminism!).
Definately worth a look.
