Pop LOVE

On saturday I ventured to the Tate Modern for the last weekend of POP LIFE. Saw amazing pieces by Warhol, Hirst, Tracy Emin and Keith Haring. Warhol's Marilyn, Mick Jagger and Hockney portraits always amaze me but I think Harings energetic 'Pop shop' stuck with me the most, check it out.

The free exhibitions were amazing too, Corneilia Parker's 'Thirty Pieces of Silver' in particular. She had steam rolled over thirty pieces of silver, funnily enough, and hung them in circles on wire. It filled a whole room. For me scultptures and art using random materials is far more interesting and unpredictable than paintings. http://www.tate.org.uk/servlet/CollectionDisplays?venueid=2&roomid=5034
