Hit the nail on the head.
All those who know me know I love my nail polish. I am in love with the power pastels at the moment, but I am eager to find something new and punchy. Well today, I heard about nails inc.'s new manicure: NAIL ART.
From £7 they are offering funky nail art designs, lettering, polka dots, leopard print, hearts and many more. My appointment is next sunday, so I can turn twenty looking nailtastic!

This season has been all about bright colours and vibrant prints, with the catwalks and high street alike being awash of Aztecs, florals and acid tones. The ‘white wash’ trend may not be covered in print, but by no means is it less vibrant, bright or statement making.
The ‘white wash’ trend, if you hadn’t guessed it, consists of pure white pieces and although this trend is somewhat perennial, this season, designers are concentrating on innovative shapes, clean lines and ultra fabulous forms. This trend is the new way to power dress.
The ‘white wash’ trend was the key theme in many designers’ Spring/Summer 2010 collections; Calvin Klein and Michael Kors resurrected the white boyfriend blazer, Givenchy incorporated the cut-out trend into their white ensembles, Fendi toyed with texture creating amazing shapes with riveting ruffles and Osman Yousefzada’s entire collection consisted of whites.
This trend however is not just for those who can afford designer clobber; our fabulous British high street has come through for us yet again. Topshop, Asos and in particular French Connection have played with texture, structure and have created pieces that look as if they have come straight off the catwalk for a fraction of the price.
Despite preconceptions that it is only the tall, leggy and skinny of us that can pull it off, the ‘white wash’ trend has brought so many different textures and shapes to the fashion world that the trend can be adopted by anyone and flatter any shape. Possibly the greatest advantage of this trend is that it somewhat acts as blank canvas, you can accessorize your ensemble to the max and can go with ultra statement pieces and completely pull it off. Mix your white peg leg trousers with killer heels and your power shoulder blazers with statement necklaces for a super chic look.
The ‘white wash’ trend is by no means boring, the eye is drawn to the fantastic fabrics, shapes and textures instead of being overwhelmed with prints. This season, white is the new black, look out for and invest in the new LWD (Little White Dress). Be brave, be bold.
